Another easy way of supporting our charity is to sign up to our school lottery following the link Support St Paul's C of E Primary School, Oldham when you play Your School Lottery - Your School Lottery The draw is every Saturday and there is a winner from school every week and a chance to win a national Jackpot of £25000.

We are currently signed up to Easyfundraising https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/stpaulstogetherpta-1604681588-514493019/ Every time you shop online you could raise money for our school, big earners are especially annual insurance and energy suppliers.

Many companies throughout the UK offer employees the chance to boost their fundraising efforts by ‘matching’ the money they raise. Generally speaking, banks, insurance companies, supermarkets, utilities providers and phone companies are known to offer match funding. Please ask your employer!!

Who is the PTA?

The Parent Support Group are a group of volunteer parents who organise events to raise money for the school. There are two joint Chairpersons: Zoe Farrer and Rachel Dowd, both with children at St. Paul's School. More information about the group can be found here.

St. Paul's Together is a very pro-active group, always finding opportunities to provide fun and exciting events for the children whilst also raising funds to support the school. Some of the many activities so far have been: The Colour Run, Easter activities, Pumpkin Trail, Frozen Fridays, Cartridge donations, Break the Rules day, Coin Wars, Mother's Day gifts, Easter Egg raffle, Clothing Collections, Christmas jumper sales, Special Christmas visitor, Lockdown Medals, 100 Club lottery, personalised Christmas gifts, Elfridges, film nights and much much more besides.

Where does the money go?

Already this year, the school have been provided with two book sheds for children to use during break and lunchtimes. There has been much support to install the two friendship benches which were initiated following the first lockdown. We have also purchased: a forest school fire safety pack: book vouchers; wooden bench seating for around the playgrounds; lockdown medals; books for the children to be given out at Christmas as well as some enjoyable chocolate treats at Easter and Christmas. We are also working towards a bigger project of purchasing an outdoor classroom for the whole school to use.

What are the PTA organising?

This coming year there are plans to provide: a rainbow hamper raffle, discos (if safe to do so with Covid restrictions), a school lottery, a sponsored read to coincide with World Book day, an Easter visitor, Break the Rules day (after its success last year), a Summer Fair, Mothers and Father's day gifts, the Colour Run, providing summer hats and caps and the intention to support the Year 6 leavers' hoodies this year.

How are the community involved?

Local businesses have been approached to help the cause and so we are proud to be supported by the wider community. We have also been working closely with St. Paul's church community, recently engaging with them for the Christmas Fair held at Downey House.

How can you support the PTA?

The Parent Support group encourages support from all families across the school. We aim to help the environment by becoming a paperless and cashless support group with as many people joining us on Class List (a free app) as possible. By joining us on Class List you will be able to find out all the latest information about upcoming events and use Stripe (payment method) to join in our events.

Do you work for a company that supports 'Match Funding'? Many companies throughout the UK offer their employees the chance to boost their child's fundraising efforts by 'matching' the money they raise. This can have a huge impact on the amount of money that can be raised in an event. If you think this may be something that you can support with then please get in touch.

We also welcome all support so if you feel that you could support in any way then please contact Mrs Hilditch who will pass your details on to the relevant people.
