Home Learning in Year 1

We use Spellingshed to help us practise spelling rules and Numbots to revisit  key maths knowledge that we have learned in school.

We also read every night to support our phonics knowledge. 

In Year 1, our books are changed over Thursday and Friday each week. We revisit and re-read books several times to enhance our reading fluency.

At the start of each half term, we are given a special home learning grid containing activities linked to our learning in school. Recalling and consolidating learning at home supports retention.
