Home Learning in Year 2

 

We use Spellingshed and Numbots to help us practise and remember key knowledge that we have learned in school.

We also read every night to help us remember our phonic knowledge.

In Year 2, we change our books on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. We know we need to read the same book several times to build our fluency (how accurately, smoothly and with expression we read).

At the start of each half term, we are given a special home learning grid that we choose special activities we can do independently or with adults that is linked to our learning in school. This helps us to recall learning which supports retention by sharing what we do at school at home. Here is our latest grid:
