Diversity

At St.Paul's we strive to teach the children an awareness of diversity in our community so that they will grow up without prejudice or stereotypical points of views but instead; respectful teenagers and adults who are accepting of all people.

Equality Statement

St Paul’s CE (Aided) Primary School and Nursery with ARP (Additional Resourced Provision) is committed to the principle of equality for all pupils in relation to the Equality Act of 2010: and Ofsted Equality objectives  recommendations:

Which refer to nine characteristics: age; disability; gender identity; marriage and civil partnership; pregnancy and maternity; race; religion or belief; sex; sexual orientation. We aim to provide active positive support of initiatives designed to further this principle. We believe that equality is at the heart of good educational practice. All pupils are of equal value and deserve equal access to every aspect of school life. They have equality to learn and work towards their highest possible levels of achievement. The vision and values which we uphold as a school help to emphasise equality for all staff and pupils at all times.

Equality means that discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender (inc. gender identity), sexuality, language, disability or family background is not acceptable.

In order to support this we are becoming a Rainbow Flag school. Find out more using the link below:
